Not old as in wisened or aged, but I wrote some stuff for Ilathid a few years back (maybe more than a few, now...) D'no if any of it's survived the various rebirths Ilathid's had since then (I know I personally haven't held on to it), but there it is.
Doesn't look like you guys are recruiting writers, but I've also been teaching myself Python and I'd say I'm pretty comfortable with it at a basic level and I'm eager to learn more and apply what I've learned to the project if you guys will have me back. Cheers!
P.S. I guess if I'm looking to get recruited for coding it would be a good idea to link to some example code. So here's my Github page: https://github.com/indigochill/
"Letters" is a text-based mad-libbish storytelling engine of sorts I'm writing solo in Python when the mood strikes and is only in the very, very early stages yet, and "Cataclysm" is a horror survival roguelike I contributed an environmental hazard feature to (collapsing roofs dealing damage and leaving behind rubble to slow movement). That's in C++
