the five Cores (aka) Hypnosis)

New Myst-like games are sufficiently rare to not mention this one.

Developped by one Frenchie guy (hurray !), this RT3D game will ask you to help someone (sounds familiar, no ? Wink)

My friend,

I don’t know how you got here. But I think you can help us.

We experienced a tragedy and we had to take refuge in another world.

The world in which you are standing is on the verge of collapse because of the child in the temple.

Her dreams become real and cause death and destruction.

The magical stones have to be reactivated to wake up the child.

Please help us.

I bought the game :)

I bought the game :)

In case some people are wondering, here is my little review.  The graphics are amazing, the feeling is amazing. It really feels like a Myst game.

On the story and puzzle design front it's weaker however. Puzzles are just random devices you find in your way and they are not really integrated in the world they are part of. The way hints are given is sometimes awkward too. There is also pretty much no storyline.

Also the navigation is a little difficult, you often get stuck and need to jump in all directions to get unstuck (or even need to load a saved game)

So overall, the game has its flaws, however it is an amazing result for such a small team, especially on the graphics and mood side. the weaker parts of the game don't take (all of) the fun from the game, especially given the very low price. The worlds are very fun to explore!

I'm actually pretty impressed

I'm actually pretty impressed at how fast you finished it.  :)  Did you do it without a walkthrough?

Jennifer: these are my impressions from what I've seen so far, I haven't finished it yet ^^ I think I've played enough of it to have a good idea of it though. Sorry if that was unclear

Okay, I see...I thought maybe

Okay, I see...I thought maybe you were one of those people who finishes Teledahn in 11 minutes.  cheeky

Well I have completed 4

Well I have completed 4 worlds out of 5 from what I can tell, after two days of playing ;) not sure how this qualifies me :P

even though unfortunately I must say that in this game it's too easy to accidentally solve puzzles. More than once I was randomly playing with a device to try to figure what it did and oops the puzzle is solved and I don't know what I did

You're either a genius or frighteningly obsessed.  cheeky

Wow, that's not a problem I've heard of before.  Something to keep in mind.
